was
born and raised in Basel Switzerland where she also completed her
education as a registered nurse and worked for several years at a
private hospital. In 2003 she relocated to the Netherlands together
with her husband, where she founded "The Other Half", motivated by the
fact that many partners of employees of international organisations
experience difficulties in integrating in the Netherlands. She is the

Rillaerts
Being a
Belgian and a native Dutch speaker, I knew quite well what to expect
when moving to the Netherlands, still I was occasionally surprised by
Dutch society. Living here has been fun however and as a Social and
Cultural Anthropologist, specialized in International Relations, I
quickly found
a job at one of the many embassies in The Hague and managed to sample
the Dutch education system at the same time by following an extra
Master´s Degree in Public International Law. |
